American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring night shift availability, Level 1 trauma experience, and advanced fetal monitoring certification.
Details- Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule, 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts (36 hours per week)
- 13-week contract
- Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact/eNLC)
- Current certifications required (all from AHA): BLS, ACLS
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate required
- NRP Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required; 5 years preferred
- At least 2 years of travel nursing experience required
- Level 1 trauma experience required
- Associate's Degree from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or MSN preferred
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
- Obtains and monitors physiological data, intervening as necessary based on patient condition changes
- Administers medications, initiates and monitors IV infusions and blood products
- Assists physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Educates patients and families on care plans and hospital procedures, and makes referrals to appropriate personnel as needed
- Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after 26 cumulative weeks before being eligible for a new contract
- Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced; candidates must be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon acceptance of an offer
