American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Post Surgical Unit position requiring acute care surgical floor experience, stepdown/PCU experience, and a valid Oklahoma or compact RN license.

• Hospital-based post surgical unit (med/surg setting)
• Cares for pre- and post-operative patients including those with new drains, wounds, trachs, ostomies, NGT, or DHT
• Some stepdown-level patients are included in the caseload
• Patient ratios are 5:1 for surgical patients and 3:1 for stepdown patients
• ENT and/or transplant patient experience preferred
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week contract

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required; all certifications must be AHA-issued
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Acute care surgical floor experience required
• Stepdown/PCU experience required
• OR-only candidates will not be considered
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

• Responsibilities include assuming care for an assigned patient group, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, and delegating tasks to support staff
• Collaborates with physicians during patient exams and minor diagnostic procedures, and communicates care plans to patients and families
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after 26 weeks of total placement before being eligible for another contract
• Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced; candidates must be prepared to complete onboarding requirements immediately upon booking
