American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring Level 1 trauma experience, 5 years of nursing experience, and 2 years of travel experience.
Details- Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule
- 36 hours per week, 3x12-hour shifts
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA only), Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience required
- Minimum of 2 years of travel nursing experience required
- Level 1 trauma experience required
- Associate's Degree from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN or MSN preferred
- Proficiency in nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
- Basic computer skills required
- Full Date of Birth (DOB) required for consideration
- Provides nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
- Responsible for an assigned group of patients, including documenting responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
- Administers medications, initiates and monitors IV infusions and blood products, and obtains and monitors physiological patient data
- Assists physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions
- Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
- Workers who have previously completed a contract at this facility may only extend once for a maximum of 26 total weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before returning for another contract
- Compliance requirements (drug screens, background checks, and medical requirements) must be initiated immediately upon acceptance of an offer
