Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring active OK or compact licensure, AHA-issued certifications, and a minimum of one year of L&D experience.
Responsibilities- Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit
- Night shift schedule
- 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts
- Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, documenting patient responses to nursing interventions and medication administration, monitoring physiological data, initiating and regulating IV infusions and blood products, and coordinating discharge planning with patients and families
- Collaborates with physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures, and delegates appropriate tasks to support staff
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility are eligible to return after a 6-month separation period following a maximum 26-week total engagement
- Compliance with onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, medical requirements) must be initiated promptly — the facility enforces strict compliance deadlines and will not adjust start dates for non-compliant travelers
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- Minimum of one year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- Required certifications (all must be from the American Heart Association): BLS, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor
- Associate's Degree from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN or MSN preferred
- Proficiency in nursing theory, clinical techniques, and patient care planning
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
