Travel RN - Med​/Surg - Oncology

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Hematology/Oncology unit position requiring ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification and at least one year of nursing experience.

Job Details

• Day shift position working 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week),

• Hematology/Oncology unit in a hospital setting,

• Responsibilities include step-down level care for oncology patients,

• Administers chemotherapy, immunotherapy, IV infusions, and blood products to oncology patients,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact (eNLC) RN license required,

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required,

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred,

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required,

• ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration certificate required,

• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate required,

• English proficiency (speaking, reading, and writing) required,

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include monitoring physiological data, documenting patient responses to interventions, administering medications, and coordinating care with the multidisciplinary team,

• Delegates tasks to support staff and collaborates with physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures,

• Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge planning,

• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may return after a 6-month separation period; extensions are limited to one time for a maximum total of 26 weeks,

• Compliance with onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, medical requirements) must be completed promptly - start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliance,
