Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Perioperative Circulator for an adult surgery operating room position requiring Level 1 trauma experience and an active OK or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Work in the adult surgery operating room of a hospital setting,

• Position is for a perioperative circulating nurse supporting adult surgical procedures,

• Setting requires experience in a Level 1 trauma environment,

• Day shift schedule: four 10-hour shifts per week, 6am to 5pm,

• Holidays and call are required as part of the schedule,

• No local candidates; must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility,

Job Requirements

• Active OK or compact RN license required,

• Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute operating room environment,

• At least 6 months of recent Level 1 trauma OR experience required,

• Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program required,

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required,

• Knowledge of AORN standards and professional nursing practices,

Additional Information

• Responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating perioperative nursing care to adult surgical patients,

• Direct and indirect provision of professional nursing care in the OR, including ongoing evaluation and documentation,

• Care is individualized to patient health status, age, and procedure,

• Expected to communicate effectively and work as part of a team,

• Returning travelers may extend only once up to 26 weeks, then require a 6-month separation before reapplying,
