Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Perioperative Circulator for an adult surgery operating room position requiring an OK or compact RN license and Level I OR experience.

• Work in an adult surgery operating room in a hospital setting
• Four 10-hour day shifts per week:
  Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Call shifts and holiday coverage may be required
• Position involves serving a surgical patient population undergoing operative and invasive procedures
• Role requires at least 6 months of Level I trauma center experience
• Responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating perioperative nursing care
• Accountable for ongoing evaluation and documentation of patient care utilizing the nursing process
• Individualizes patient care based on health status, age, and surgical procedure
• Team-oriented environment requiring effective communication and collaboration
• Scrub attire must meet operating room standards
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius will be considered
• Returning travelers may extend only once for a total of 26 weeks, with a required 6-month separation before reapplication

• Active Oklahoma RN or multistate compact RN license
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Minimum of one year of experience in an acute operating room environment
• Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Knowledge of AORN standards and ability to apply professional nursing theory and techniques
