American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med Specialty Step Down unit night shift, requiring an OK or compact RN license and at least one year of experience.

• Work in a Med Specialty Step Down unit within a hospital setting
• Care for a range of patients with both simple and complex health conditions
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week
• Assignment is for a 13-week contract
• Responsible for a designated group of patients, administering medication, monitoring physiological data, and documenting responses to treatment
• Collaborate with physicians and assist in minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Interact with patients and families to communicate care plans and discharge information
• Delegates tasks appropriately to support personnel
• A 50-mile radius rule applies; local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible for this position
• Only one contract extension is permitted for a maximum total of 26 weeks before a mandatory six-month break in service

• Active Oklahoma RN license or compact (eNLC) RN license required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills required
