Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele Ortho/Trauma Unit assignment requiring an active OK or compact license and at least one year of nursing experience.
Responsibilities- Work in the Ortho/Trauma Unit of a hospital setting
- Care for patients with orthopedic and trauma-related health concerns
- 12-hour day shifts, three days per week
- Must be comfortable with both surgical day (SD) and medical surgical (MS) protocols
- Responsible for nursing care and coordinating patient plans for an assigned group
- Administers medications, monitors IV infusions, and assists with minor diagnostic procedures
- Participates in patient and family education and discharge planning
- Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Work involves collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team
- No local candidates allowed due to radius rule
- Active RN license issued by Oklahoma or a multistate compact RN license (eNLC) is required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN or higher preferred
- Minimum of one year RN experience is required
- Ability to apply professional nursing theory, techniques, and procedures
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
