LPN - GI of Norman East role at Norman Regional Health System

Licensed Practical Nurse position with responsibilities in patient care within the Gastrointestinal (GI) setting as prescribed by the Oklahoma Nurse Practice Act.

• Performs duties of a licensed practical nurse as prescribed by the Oklahoma Nurse Practice Act.
• Contributes to the development of a plan of care and follows through with such plan for selected patients.
• Administers medication with a high degree of safety and accuracy.
• Maintains the exam rooms and work environment.
• Documents nursing care and activities.
• Assists with patient care and monitors patients during procedures.
• Assists with the training of other staff.
• Assists departmental assistant with clinical matters.

• Education
  :
  High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a vocational program for Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Experience
  :
  Prefer at least 1-2 years in a clinical or physician-office setting, emergency room and/or hospital setting that provides patient care. Office clerical experience desirable. (Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.)
• Licensure/Certification
  :
  Current LPN license from the State of Oklahoma or active Multistate LPN license. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training required during orientation prior to providing patient care; current BLS maintained for duration of employment.

• Salary: $17.39-$28.40/hr depending on previous work experience.
