Overview

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) ICU - Pediatrics

Location: Oklahoma City, OK 73104

Duration: 3 – 4 Months+ (Possible Extension)

Reports To: Nurse Manager / Charge RN

Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care in a hospital setting to a diverse patient population with conditions ranging from simple to complex. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
  • Assume responsibility for a designated group of patients.
  • Administer medications, blood products, and intravenous infusions as prescribed.
  • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and treatments; accurately update medical records and physician orders.
  • Assist physicians with examinations, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
  • Monitor and respond to patients' physiological status and intervene as needed.
  • Communicate the care plan to patients and families during hospitalization and at discharge.
  • Educate patients and families on hospital procedures and care plans.
  • Refer patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
  • Delegate appropriate tasks to support staff while maintaining overall responsibility for patient care.
General Responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership or as required for unit needs.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience in an acute care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to coordinate and evaluate nursing services effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and support staff.
  • Competency in responding to cultural and language needs of diverse populations.
  • Basic computer literacy.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • [None specified, but experience in specialty units can be a plus.]
Education & Licensure
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current RN license in [Insert State].
