Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg | Stepdown/PCU
Shift: Nights | Hours: 36/week
Position SummaryThe Registered Nurse provides direct patient care in an acute-care Med/Surg unit with Stepdown/PCU services. The RN delivers safe, effective nursing care to pre- and post-operative patients while collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to assigned Med/Surg and Stepdown patients
- Monitor patient conditions and document responses to treatment
- Administer medications, IV infusions, and blood products
- Assist physicians with procedures and patient evaluations
- Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
- Delegate tasks and coordinate care with support staff
- Acute-care surgical floor (pre- and post-op)
- Patient care includes drains, wounds, trachs, ostomies, NGT/DHT
- Stepdown care required
- Ratios: 5:1 (Med/Surg) | 3:1 (Stepdown)
- 1+ year acute-care RN experience
- Travel nursing experience required
- Med/Surg acute-care surgical floor experience required
- Stepdown/PCU experience required
- Level I trauma experience required
- OR-only experience not accepted
- ENT and/or Transplant experience preferred
- ADN required; BSN preferred
- Active OK RN license or eNLC compact license
- BLS (AHA) required
