We are seeking a Registered Nurse – Nephrology to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with a wide range of health conditions, from simple to complex. Working under general supervision, the RN will deliver safe, competent, and compassionate care while collaborating with physicians, patients, and families to ensure optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; update physician orders as needed.
- Assist physicians with examinations, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
- Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient conditions, and intervene when necessary.
- Administer medications as prescribed.
- Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
- Deliver patient care competently and efficiently.
- Communicate care plans with patients and families during hospitalization and at discharge.
- Educate patients and families on hospital procedures.
- Refer patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
- Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support patient care and hospital operations.
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a board-approved program.
- Current RN license issued by the State Board of Nursing, or a valid multistate compact RN license (eNLC).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
