We are looking for a compassionate, dedicated full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our growing Hospice Company for the Oklahoma City, OK region.

Responsibilities
  • Care for census of 5-6 patients
  • Provide or assist in ADL activities: personal hygiene, grooming, mouth, skin care and nails
  • Assist with toileting, positioning and transfer activities, frequent turning and positioning of bed-bound patient
  • Assist with prescribed exercise and ROM activities as taught by the Hospice Nurse
  • Assist with light housekeeping of the patient’s unit or room, including changing bed linens and patient laundry
  • Feed and assist with meals
  • Report any changes in patient condition to the Nurse
Qualifications
  • Must have a valid CNA license in the state of OK
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Meets the training requirements of the State (classroom and practical training)
  • Completed a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training; sixteen hours of classroom must be completed prior to a mandatory 16 hours of practical training
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given
  • Understands hospice philosophy and comfortable providing specialized care to the terminally ill
  • Satisfactory references from previous employers
  • Self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision; maintains composure in a patient’s home
  • Empathy for the needs of the ill and frail
  • Tact, patience and good personal hygiene
  • Licensed driver with insured automobile in good working order
  • Successfully completes a probationary period as documented by the supervisor and employee
