Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring CVICU experience in a Level 1 setting and an active OK or compact RN license.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
- Provides care to pediatric patients with both simple and complex cardiovascular conditions
- Assignment involves 12-hour night shifts, three days per week
- Role requires experience in a Level 1 CVICU setting
- Responsible for providing competent nursing care, monitoring patient responses, and documenting interventions
- Works closely with physicians, support staff, patients, and families to deliver coordinated care
- Expected to administer medications, monitor IV infusions and blood products, and assist with minor diagnostic procedures
- Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Must be able to interact effectively with diverse patient populations and families
- Active OK or compact RN license required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications from the American Heart Association required
- Minimum of one year of Pediatric CVICU experience in a Level 1 setting required
- Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program required, BSN preferred
- Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to coordinate care
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility location
