Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position requiring Level 1 experience and several key certifications.
Responsibilities- Position is on the Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
- Night shifts with 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
- Care for patients with a range of obstetric health needs from simple to complex
- Level 1 Labor & Delivery experience is required
- No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
- Deliver nursing care to obstetric patients and assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
- Responsible for assessing, documenting, and monitoring patients and administering prescribed medications and treatments
- Interaction with patients and families includes sharing care plans and providing discharge information
- Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members
- May only extend one time for a 26-week total assignment before requiring a six-month break before reapplying
- Active RN license in Oklahoma or compact state, currently in hand
- Minimum of one year recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Associate's degree from an accredited school of nursing required
- Certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Advance Provider or Instructor (AHA)
- Ability to organize, plan, and coordinate nursing services
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Some computer skills required
