Shift: 3 days per week
Overall Responsibility:To establish guidelines to identify the professional qualifications and skill required for employment in the pre-operative area. It is the Pre-Op Nurse’s responsibility to formulate and execute the nursing care for patients of all ages in the Pre-Op area to ensure the patients receive the highest quality of care, that their safety is ensured according to policy and procedure, and to instigate and execute all other tasks as requested by the Chief Nursing Officer.

Skills and
Certifications:
- RN licensure from the Board of Nurse Licensefor the State of Oklahoma
- BLS, if not current, certification within 90 days of hire
- ACLS / PALS required, if not current, training within 6 months of hire
- Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
- Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet needs of patients and unit.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
