Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for night shifts, requiring at least 2 years of acute emergency department experience and specific certifications.
Responsibilities
• Work in a high-acuity, fast-paced Emergency Department within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes transplant, burn, LVAD, total heart, PICU, NICU, L&D, comprehensive stroke, ECMO cannulation, and chest pain cases
• Handles patients per day in a department with a minimum of 30 beds
• Night shift position (7p-7a), 3x12-hour shifts
• Rotating on-call and weekend call required
• Floating to sister facilities may be required to meet facility needs
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Will care for highly acute patients including those requiring advanced procedures such as ECMO cannulation in the ED
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• No block scheduling requests will be accommodated
• Maximum of 5 days of time off (RTO) allowed and blackout dates cannot be requested
• Returning employees must have at least a one-year break from prior employment at the facility
• Holiday time off requests will not be approved
• Facility requires immediate reporting of absences or late arrivals
• Must be willing and able to float to all facilities within the 75-mile radius as needed
Requirements
• Active OK or compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years experience in an ER within an acute care setting
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and ESI
• Must provide a current driver's license or state-issued a utility bill with a matching address dated within the last three months
• Permanent address must be more than 75 miles from the facility
• No pending state licenses accepted
• Two professional references and copies of certifications required for consideration
