Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery unit night shift requiring BLS, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP certification.

• Position is based in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit
• Provides care to laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• 13-week contract assignment
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius will be considered
• Will assume responsibility for an assigned group of labor and delivery patients and their care plans
• Assists in exams, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatments
• Obtains and monitors physiological data and administers prescribed medications and IV infusions
• Works collaboratively with the care team and communicates with patients and families
• Delegates tasks to support staff as necessary
• Must be able to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients
• Requires strong communication and basic computer skills

• Active OK or compact RN license required
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications through AHA required
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Advanced Provider or Instructor certification required
• Minimum of one year recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; BSN or MSN preferred
