Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced NICU RN for night shifts requiring an active OK or compact RN license, BLS, and NRP certifications.
Responsibilities- Work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of a hospital
- Patient population consists of critically ill neonates and infants requiring intensive care
- Schedule consists of three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7pm to 7am
- Assignment length is 13 weeks
- Deliver competent nursing care to a range of neonatal patients with varying degrees of illness
- Obtain and monitor physiological data, administer medications and IV infusions, and assist physicians with diagnostic procedures
- Document patient responses, update treatment plans, and communicate effectively with families regarding care plans and hospital procedures
- Assign and delegate tasks to support staff
- Six-month separation required before returning if previously employed or on assignment with the facility
- Active Oklahoma or compact RN license
- Current BLS and NRP certifications from the American Heart Association
- Minimum of 1 year of NICU nursing experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Some computer skills necessary
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility
