Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Perioperative Circulator for an adult operating room position, requiring at least one year of acute OR experience and a compact or OK RN license.
Responsibilities- Work in an adult surgical operating room within a hospital setting
- Day shifts, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
- Involvement in a Level 1 trauma environment with at least 6 months of Level 1 OR experience required
- Provides direct and indirect perioperative nursing care for adult patients undergoing operative and invasive procedures
- Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and evaluating nursing care for surgical patients
- Accountable for ongoing documentation and evaluation using the nursing process
- Individualizes patient care based on health status, age, and procedure type
- Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential for this position
- Scrub color requirements or dress code not specified
- Extensions beyond 26 weeks require a 6 month break before reapplying
- Active RN license from Oklahoma or a compact RN license (eNLC)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Minimum of one year experience in an acute operating room environment
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
- Excellent understanding of AORN standards and perioperative nursing practices
- Must live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility (no local candidates accepted)
