Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Perioperative Circulator for Adult Surgery with at least one year of acute OR experience and current OK or compact licensure.

• Position is in the Adult Surgery department of a Level 1 trauma hospital
• Day shift schedule with five 8-hour shifts per week
• Perioperative nursing care for adult patients undergoing operative or invasive procedures
• Work involves direct and indirect nursing care in an acute operating room environment
• The RN Circulator plans, coordinates, and evaluates nursing care for patients with potentially compromised self-care during surgery
• Accountable for ongoing evaluation and documentation throughout the perioperative process
• Individualizes patient care based on health status, age, and procedure
• Assignment is not open to local candidates residing within a 50-mile radius
• Must be able to work effectively as part of a surgical team
• Scrub attire in accordance with hospital policy

• Active RN license in Oklahoma or a current multistate compact RN license
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Minimum of one year experience in an acute operating room setting
• At least six months of Level 1 trauma experience required
• Knowledge of AORN Standards and ability to coordinate perioperative care
