Job Details:

• Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex in an inpatient overflow unit

• Work on the 3rd floor Inpatient Overflow unit which is a mixed medical-surgical/step-down unit

• Step-down experience preferred along with charge nurse experience

• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients

• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments

• Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures

• Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients and intervene when necessary

• Administer medications as prescribed and manage IV infusions and blood products

• Interact with families and patients regarding care plans and discharge planning

• Make referrals to appropriate personnel for patient care needs

• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed

Required:

1 year of nursing experience

Required:

Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program

•

Required:

Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC)

Required:

Current Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association

• Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher
