Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Stepdown position on a mixed inpatient overflow unit, requiring an active OK or compact RN license and at least one year of experience.

• Work in a hospital inpatient overflow unit on a mixed Med/Surg and Stepdown floor
• Patient population includes adults with a range of simple to complex medical conditions
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week
• Charge nurse and stepdown (SD) experience are preferred
• Primary responsibilities include providing direct nursing care, monitoring patient status, administering medications, and assisting physicians with exams and minor procedures
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate care plans with patients and families
• Requires ability to respond effectively to patients' cultural and language needs
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate

• Active RN license in Oklahoma or a multistate compact state
• At least one year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required
• Knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and procedures required
• Strong communication and organizational skills required
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
