About Our Property — OKANA Resort and Indoor Water Park is located along the Oklahoma River in the Horizons District, near downtown Oklahoma City, OK. What You Will Be Doing- Brand Ambassador, Content Capture & Public Presence
- Serve as a visible, trusted face of OKANA at community events, media engagements, openings, partnerships, and on-property activations.
- Host and lead property tours for media, influencers, partners, and VIPs, delivering compelling brand storytelling and tailored experiences that showcase OKANA’s amenities, Boardwalk, and offerings.
- Act as a brand steward, ensuring OKANA’s voice, values, and positioning are consistently and authentically represented in all external-facing interactions.
- Capture high-quality, on-brand photo and short-form video content during events, tours, activations, and day-to-day property moments for use by OKANA’s social media agency.
- Identify real-time storytelling opportunities and proactively share content, context, and insights with the agency to support timely posting and campaign execution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media, influencers, community leaders, and VIP partners to enhance OKANA’s reputation and local presence.
- Local & Boardwalk Marketing
- Lead and execute local marketing initiatives that drive traffic, awareness, and spend for the OKANA Boardwalk, including restaurants, retail, entertainment, and seasonal activations.
- Develop localized campaigns, promotions, and partnerships that connect OKANA to the surrounding community.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations to support openings, promotions, and on-property experiences.
- Manage reputation for all outlets, including the Boardwalk.
- Community Relations & Partnerships
- Serve as a primary liaison between OKANA and the local community, tourism partners, chambers, nonprofits, and civic organizations.
- Identify, cultivate, and manage community partnerships aligned with OKANA’s brand values and business goals.
- Coordinate community events, sponsor ships, and outreach initiatives.
- Media Relations & Earned Media
- Build, cultivate, and maintain strong relationships with local, regional, and national media and broadcast outlets in collaboration with OKANA’s Public Relations agency.
- Lead efforts for media opportunities, introductions, and strengthening local press and broadcast presence.
- Collaborate with the PR agency to develop story angles and outreach strategies aligned with OKANA’s positioning and priorities.
- Coordinate interviews, on-site media visits, assets, and information to support coverage and engagement.
- Act as a local extension of the PR agency, ensuring seamless communication and execution in the Oklahoma City market.
