Primary Responsibilities (Position is in Guthrie, Oklahoma)
- Be able to weld Mig, stick, flame cut and arc air
- Report non-conformance's to Supervisor / Quality Assurance
- Must keep work area neat, clean and organized to support a safe and efficient work environment
- Must adhere to all OSHA, equipment safety rules and plant safety polices
- Promptly report any operational problems or safety issues w/ machinery to Supervisor
- Must check/audit all work performed to ensure quality
- Must meet required production schedules
- Must update the company computer with time, inventory and operational data
- Must be able to positively interact with coworkers and cross train other welders in mastered areas to support results that exceed our customers’ expectations
- Producing product with a quality mind-set. Verifying quality in production, part selection and correction of errors before product moves from your workstation.
Technical:
- All types of welding & Grinding/Flame Cutting
- Perform Lay Outs and steel/structural fitting
- Product Knowledge
- Read and Comprehend Tape Measure
- Ability to perform basic math skills
- Basic Computer Skills
- General hydraulic assembly and machining
- Ability to regulate welder to specific wire feed speeds and voltage
Functional:
- Organizational Skills
- Pulling, Pushing, Lifting and Bending (50lb.
-70lb.) - Working at floor, table and structural overhead levels
- Stand / Walk Constantly
- Work Ethic & Teamwork skills
- Read and understand blueprints, shop packets and shop schedules
Requirements: A: Structural welding in a fabrication/production shop, including complex special fitting fabrication of assemblies/specials. Be able to trouble shoot/problem solve and work with minimal supervision to resolve fabrication/design issues to support quality, schedules, and production times. Pass the AQ weld A test
B: 1 year or more manufacturing experience; technology diploma or equivalent preferred. Must pass the AQ Weld B test.
Accountability: To weld/fabricate detail components or final weld assemblies in a manner that supports quality, safety, and efficiencies to maintain standard times and on time delivery. Work in a manner that is consistent with quality production; ensuring quality work before the product leaves is your responsibility.
