THIS POSITION HAS NO DIRECT MANAGEMENT ORSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES POSITION SUMMARY
The Mechanic will be responsible for locating sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation. Mechanics remove defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts. The Mechanic determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Additionally, Mechanics will need to document any maintenance that may take place.
KEYFUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and perform necessary repairs. Coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize machines’ performance. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts inventory, and equipment history. Train and mentor maintenance technicians, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and knowledge. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in maintenance processes and equipment performance. Assist with managing spare parts inventory, ensuring availability of critical components. Collaborate with external vendors and service providers as needed. Follow and support all Company Safety, GMP, HACCP policies. Follow and support all Company ISO, QMS and QSI policies. Maintain the highest quality of services rendered. Maintain good housekeeping in the shop and on the plant floor.
