Installs, maintains, and repairs refrigeration machinery and equipment by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesIncludes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Repairs and maintains spiral freezers, engine room, air units on the roof, boilers, compressors, CO2 system, air pressure in the plant, batter coolness, hot water heaters, chilled water, and plant temperatures.
Handles defrost on spiral freezers, shipping freezer, cooler, and plant.
Monitors temperatures in spiral freezers, shipping freezer, cooler, and in the plant.
Performs preventative maintenance on all equipment and machinery in refrigeration and spiral freezers.
Fills out log books.
Performs written checks on the boilers for OSHA.
Assists contractors.
Operates power equipment such as scissor lift or forklift to move and install parts, motors, etc. Must pass all requirements to be a PIE operator for O.K. Foods.

Education and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Other QualificationsMust be able to read and understand electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic schematics, diagrams, and/or drawings.
