SummaryTraining Lead will assist in coordinating training plans, checking on employees who are in training, promoting established training procedures, conducting line audits to ensure employee placement, and acting as the liaison between trainees and line leadership.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Promotes a safe work environment by ensuring employees are knowledgeable of hazards in the workplace and required personal protective equipment.
- Promotes product quality through auditing and verification of operator conformance to work instructions, quality systems, and manufacturing processes.
- Ensures that employee training and cross-training follows established training program.
- Audits employees and production lines to ensure training is effective and meets safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- Assists in the training of new or revised procedures or processes to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Assists in maintaining training records and skills matrices.
- Finds and documents errors in operating instructions for red lines or corrections.
- Develops employee skill sets by sharing knowledge of product and process characteristics.
- Supports new employees and trainers with guidance and information.
- Performs line audits to ensure that employee placement matches training matrix.
Verifies that designated trainers and line leadership are following the established training program.

Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and understand English.
Computer SkillsIntermediate computer skills required. Ability to navigate network directories and basic Microsoft Office Suite.
Communication SkillsMust be a strong communicator with interpersonal skills. Must be able to explain tasks and procedures clearly, and know how to listen actively and be sensitive to the importance of body language and nonverbal communication.
Physical DemandsThe employee is required to talk or hear, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch; lift up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally; requires close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work EnvironmentEmployee frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, occasional vibration; noise level usually moderate.
