Job Summary
Represents OG&E before the Southwest Power Pool technical committees and provides input and guidance on the development of strategies related to OG&E/RTO interactions to ensure RTO activities promote OG&E's business objectives.

- Responsibilities are varied and complex. Often works outside area of assigned duties. Applies advanced skills in multiple areas. Resolves complex issues which impact business operations both inside and outside own department. Makes unreviewed decisions related to the area of responsibilities. Opinions carry significant weight in policy and strategy decisions.
- Support the OG&E Regulatory department and, coordinate internally and externally as appropriate on company dockets before the public utilities commissions, related to SPP and transmission policy matters.
- Support the OG&E legal department and, coordinate internally and externally as appropriate on company interventions in FERC dockets related to SPP and transmission policy matters.
- Accountable for the overall performance and results of assigned areas of responsibility.
- Provide regular updates on key initiatives within assigned areas of responsibility.
- Coordinate with and among the internal, multidepartment experts which staff the RTO working group, to drive alignment on desired outcomes that promote OG&E business objectives.
- Coordinate OG&E/RTO interactions within assigned areas of responsibility to promote OG&E business objectives with the RTO.
- Participate in, and lead when appropriate, RTO working groups and task forces to promote OG&E business objectives.
- Support the development of company strategy related to RTO initiatives and decisions.
- Act as a key interface between the company and the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) or other RTOs regarding appropriate matters as they relate to OG&E.
- Promote a safety culture by performing duties consistent with IIF (Incident and Injury Free).
- Maintain awareness of and, communicate internally on issues relevant to OG&E regarding transmission policy matters at SPP and FERCs.
- Be an active, supportive member of the RTO/Regional Policy team and effectively communicate internally among company experts in the areas assigned.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Accounting, or other related degree, and 10 years of electric utility or related industry experience (for example, Transmission policy, RTO policy, and/or regional energy market). and
- 5 years of direct RTO interaction as a primary or key responsibility or, working for an RTO in a leadership or policy role or, working for a electric utility trade association in such a role.
- May work non-standard hours.
- Requires travel up to 30%.
- Works in an office environment.
- Member will not be required to drive in order to perform their job duties.
- Member is not required to perform any safety sensitive duties.

- Extensive knowledge of the Utility business and the necessary interactions with NERC, FERC, and RTOs.
- Demonstrated ability to react and respond to change effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and act in the company’s best interest.
