The Sr. Project Manager – Strategic Initiatives CTO improves operating performance across the department. Leads the development and rollout of project management methodology. Manages the productivity and outcome measurement portions of the department while ensuring appropriate and timely communications with management.
Responsibilities- Independently leads project teams to support performance excellence initiatives, aligning deliverables to program outcomes.
- Manages day‑to‑day responsibilities of assigned projects and develops long‑range strategic planning for the department, including potential areas of focus, scope, and development.
- Develops and refines performance improvement methodology and project management methodology; establishes department goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
- Ensures the department has the infrastructure and resources required to perform its role effectively and efficiently.
- Monitors department timelines to ensure resources are available and applied appropriately to achieve desired performance goals in a timely manner.
- Provides support for multiple process improvement efforts, offering best‑practice examples from other organizations or industries.
- Oversees projects within the department, providing process facilitation support and rigorous analytical support to project teams.
- Provides active tracking tools and risk‑management summaries for all projects designated by senior management and summarizes individual project progress and risks.
- Keeps abreast of recent trends and developments in process innovation and project management in healthcare and related industries.
- Maintains effective internal and external communication regarding process innovation and project management efforts, providing timely information regarding progress.
- Provides consultative, coaching, or mentoring services to management and/or department staff.
- Participates in meetings, committees, and community outreach efforts; oversees development and implementation of communication plans.
- Performs other duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
Required
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Healthcare, or related field.
- 72 months of project management experience, including 36 months of management or leadership experience.
Equivalency/ Substitution: Accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree for a total of 120 months of related experience.
Skills:
- Strong customer orientation.

- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
