Job DescriptionOU Health Stephenson Cancer Center is Oklahoma’s only National Cancer Institute (NCI)-Designated Cancer Center. The Sr. Project Manager – Strategic Initiatives CTO role improves operating performance (service, cost, quality) across the department, leads the development and rollout of project management methodology, and manages productivity and outcome measurement while ensuring timely communication with management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Independently lead project teams to support performance excellence initiatives and align deliverables with program outcomes.
- Manage day‑to‑day responsibilities of assigned projects and develop long‑range strategic planning for the department.
- Develop and refine performance improvement methodology and project management methodology; maintain department goals, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure the department has the necessary infrastructure and resources to perform efficiently.
- Monitor department timelines and ensure resources are appropriately applied to achieve performance goals.
- Support multiple process improvement efforts, provide best‑practice examples, and maintain active tracking tools.
- Oversee projects within the department that act as an internal consulting group, providing facilitation and analytical support.
- Provide risk management summaries and progress updates to senior management.
- Stay abreast of recent trends in process innovation and project management in healthcare and related industries.
- Maintain effective internal and external communication regarding innovation and management efforts.
- Participate in meetings, committees, and community outreach; oversee communication plans.
- Perform various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the position’s function.
Required
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Healthcare, or related field, AND 72 months of project management experience (including 36 months of leadership).
Equivalency/Substitution: 48 months of related experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree for a total of 120 months of related experience.
