Supervisor, Warehouse

Summary

Responsible for the warehouse supervisory function relating to the planning, storage, control, and distribution of materials and product to meet company objectives and customer requirements in a high volume multi‑site environment. This involves the responsibility of directing and administering shipping, receiving, and inventory control by performing the following duties.

• Plans, organizes, coordinates and manages personnel and activities to ensure effective and efficient processing, shipping, storage, and issuance of materials while continuously striving for improvement in all material processes.
• Maintains all inventories, components, finished goods to ensure accuracy of the inventory.
• Supervises physical inventory in multiple warehouses.
• Responsible for the logistics of transporting materials from various facilities and suppliers.
• Responsible for the motivation and development of subordinates, their performance, and their personal and professional growth.
• Assures that established policy, rules, regulations and procedures are followed.
• Responsible for all processes, equipment, employees and safety.
• Responsible for maintaining a quality work environment including good housekeeping (i.e., 5S).
• Interfaces with other divisions and operations to ensure timely and accurate receipt and issuance of all material.
• Coordinates the timely, accurate, damage‑free shipments of all products.
• Operates a forklift.
• Recommends and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
• Responsible for development and adherence to the policies, procedures and instructions of the QS 9000 and MMOG systems.
• Responsible for ensuring budgetary goals are accomplished.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the ATC Drivetrain policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related discipline preferred.
• Five years’ experience in a multi‑warehouse environment with warehousing experience in large warehouses (100,000 sf or larger).
• International import experience required.
• Experience with laying out warehouses for maximum efficiencies.
• Experience in selecting appropriate storage solutions and material handling equipment.
• Must have Lean manufacturing experience to ensure efficient delivery of product to operations.

Certifications in APIC’s or Purchasing Management highly desirable.
