Summary Of

Duties And Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of custodial and maintenance duties to provide a clean, orderly, and safe environment. Performs related work as required. The Custodian performs minor repairs, responds to emergency calls for service, works closely with employees and the public to meet the custodial needs of the area, and resolves problems to ensure efficient and safe operations. This position requires traveling between multiple sites.

• Performs routine and comprehensive custodial maintenance of assigned facilities.
• Vacuums, shampoos, and spot cleans carpets.
• Washes accessible interior and exterior windows when necessary as well as clean blinds.
• Cleans, dusts, and wipes furniture throughout the facility.
• Maintains waiting rooms, patient rooms, offices, and other areas. Ensures assigned areas are neat, organized, and clean.
• Launders cleaning rags and dust mops.
• Cleans and removes trash in accordance with established procedures.
• Cleans and sanitizes restrooms, waiting rooms, patient rooms, and other health occupation facilities.
• Reports and responds to emergency calls for custodial assistance and other service requests.
• Identifies stains and uses proper chemicals for removal.
• Submits requests for supplies.

• Must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy items (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking.

Requirements, Special Skills or Knowledge
:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of custodial experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record. Employee provides own transportation and must have proof of liability insurance is required. Mileage reimbursement is provided at Federal rate.

Preferred Requirements, Special Skills Or Knowledge
:

• Custodial experience in a healthcare setting.
