Position: Laborer III (Part-Time/Year-Round) - City
PAY

Pay Range: 854

Hourly Rate: $14.00 - $15.25

The normal starting pay for this position is the minimum of the pay range listed above. A higher rate of pay may be considered, dependent on the qualifications and experience of the selected applicant.

POSITION DESIGNATION

This job classification has been designated as a safety sensitive job classification in accordance with the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act, 63 O.S., § 427.1 et seq., (OSCN 2019), effective August 29, 2019. This means employees in this job classification can be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination if they test positive for marijuana components or metabolites, even if they possess a medical marijuana license.

JOB SUMMARY

This position is located in the Natural Resources Division of the Parks and Recreation Department within the City of Oklahoma City. This position is responsible for performing semi-skilled grounds maintenance and/or construction duties or miscellaneous utility work involving the use of power tools and equipment, and the operation of light automotive equipment, such as light trucks or passenger vans. Typical duties include: coordinating field work projects;

filling assigned work orders; posting utility delinquency cutoff notices; and completing safety and work status reports, inspection sheets and other related reports and forms on a daily basis. This position may also act in a lead worker capacity over other part-time crews. The necessary skills, knowledge, and ability and/or licenses and certifications to perform departmental specific tasks must be acquired prior to assuming the duties of the position.

Possession of a valid driver license (Operator) is required.
