Senior Software Engineering Manager – AWACS & Executive Transport Software teams, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Focus on Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization.

The role leads a team of software engineers in developing and sustaining mission‑critical software for the AWACS & Executive Transport, working closely with hardware engineering, systems engineering, and program management to deliver high‑value capabilities on schedule and within budget.

• Manages employees and first‑level managers performing engineering and technical activities in software engineering.
• Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies, and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, and objectives.
• Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements.
• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.
• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.
• Manages, develops, and motivates employees and first‑level managers.

• 7+ years of experience with software development.
• 3+ years of experience as a project manager of software development projects.
• Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience in Agile, Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFe), and Dev Ops.
• Experience in Automation and CI/CD techniques and design patterns.
• Experience developing software for real‑time embedded systems.

• Experience with real‑time embedded multiprocessor programs and/or user interface development programs.
• Experience with Dev Ops practices such as continuous integration, continuous deployment, configuration management, security analysis, and cloud computing.
• Experience developing commercial or military safety‑critical software (DO-178B/C, MIL-HDBK-516C).
• Experience working in an IPT structure as part of a larger cross‑functional product team.
