The VMWare Server Administrator monitors daily activities of technology systems under their responsibility. Installs and configures server and virtualization technologies within the enterprise as directed by the Network Administration Supervisor.
- Knowledge and enterprise experience of VMWare 7.0 and higher is key
- Knowledge of Data Protection Solutions, preferably Dell/EMC, is required
- Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN and server technologies.
- Contribute to design of network architecture, integration, and installation.
- Monitor and maintain technologies as assigned.
- Coordinate third-party maintenance for network hardware and software.
- Participates in a 24 x 7 on call rotation.
- Knowledge of server hardware and software platforms.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Commensurate experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Strong technical and non-technical communications skills.
- Ability to establish user trust and confidence in the groups knowledge of and concern for users business needs
- General server knowledge is required, including the following:
Windows Server , Microsoft Exchange 2016, Active Directory, VMware. - Desired skills in Public Cloud Services (AWS/Aure/GCP), Aruba Wireless, Checkpoint Firewalls
- Familiarity with the Microsoft 365 Admin Center and ability to navigate the portal for basic service administration
- Familiarity with LAN/WAN and multiplatform environments
- At least 6 years experience with Windows Server , VMWare, enterprise storage
- Experience with Ivanti Service Desk and/or other service desk application implementation, maintenance, and support is preferred
- Banking experience preferred but not required.
