Veeva Developer

Anywhere - Contract - Remote - Life Sciences

Remote

The Veeva Developer will design, build, and maintain solutions within the Veeva Vault platform supporting regulated content workflows across MLR, Promo Mats, Med Comms, and commercial operations. The role blends configuration, integrations, and custom development to enable compliant content management in life sciences for our client.

Rate: $70.00 to $80.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities
  • Configure and customize Veeva Vault applications including Promo Mats, Med Comms, Quality, and Regulatory modules.
  • Build and update object models, document types, life cycles, workflows, and metadata.
  • Develop configuration scripts, validation rules, page layouts, and user actions within Vault.
  • Build and maintain integrations between Veeva Vault and external systems such as DAMs, content supply chain tools, AEM pathways, and CRM platforms.
  • Implement REST and SOAP API integrations to automate data flows.
  • Support content migration from legacy platforms, including Adobe systems, into Veeva Vault.
  • Develop workflows supporting medical, legal, and regulatory review for promotional and scientific content.
  • Implement compliance-focused business rules, audit trails, and version controls aligned to regulatory standards.
  • Ensure adherence to GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, and applicable pharma regulations.
  • Support AI-enabled content generation, metadata automation, and efficiency tooling when applicable.
  • Collaborate on internal applications leveraging Veeva data and APIs with product and engineering teams.
  • Create validation scripts and participate in IQ, OQ, and PQ processes for releases.
  • Develop technical documentation, configuration guides, and release notes, and support UAT planning and remediation.
  • Partner with brand, medical reviewers, regulatory stakeholders, and content operations teams.
  • Collaborate with vendors during scaling or migration initiatives and provide training, demos, and technical support.
Experience Requirements
  • Hands‑on experience configuring Veeva Vault modules such as Promo Mats or Med Comms.
  • Knowledge of MLR workflows, regulated content approval processes, and pharma compliance.
  • Experience with Veeva Vault APIs, integrations, and automation tools.
  • Understanding of content models, taxonomies, metadata, and versioning.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal guidance.
  • Experience operating within fast‑changing, lean teams and rapid deployment cycles.
  • Experience migrating content from Adobe Experience Manager or other DAM/CMS systems into Veeva Vault preferred.
  • Background in life sciences, pharma, or medical content operations preferred.
  • Familiarity with AI or ML content generation tools or metadata automation preferred.
