Sr. Data Scientist

* Full-time 40-hour work weeks.
* Support the Information Services Division.
* Salary is based on education and experience.
* This is an on-site position located in Oklahoma City, OK.
* Serve as a subject matter expert in data science, analytics, and AI methodologies.
* Establish and uphold standards for:  + Model development, validation, and documentation  + Code quality, peer review, and version control  + Testing, deployment, and lifecycle management  + Responsible and ethical use of AI
* Conduct complex programming tasks that synthesize analytical outputs into actionable business insights.
* Partner with senior leaders, program managers, engineers, and operational teams to align analytics initiatives with organizational objectives.
* Define and maintain enterprise-relevant metrics, KPIs, and operational health indicators aligned with organizational strategy.
* Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations using platform-agnostic approaches to ensure accessibility and clarity.
* Present insights in a manner that is understandable and impactful for both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Other duties as assigned.
* Master’s degree or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
* Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings, and RAG architectures.
* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud).
* Experience with modern data architectures and analytics platforms.
* Knowledge of data governance, privacy, security, and responsible AI practices.
* Experience working in public-sector or large enterprise environments.
* Familiarity with Agile or iterative delivery methodologies.
