• The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the development and deployment of secure and highly available private / public cloud platforms and services, including technical computing, end user workspace, storage, network, identity, collaboration and voice communications environments. Provide modern infrastructure solutions to support complex, modern business applications and services.
• The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the operations of secure and highly available private / public cloud platforms and services including applications, servers, and networks. They install, maintain, upgrade, and use Dev Ops principles to continuously improve the corporate operating environment. They also maintain the ongoing reliability, performance, and support of the infrastructure. This includes tracking metrics, monitoring, and event management;
  
  responding to incidents, problems, and planning for growth.
• The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for developing, deploying, and testing disaster recovery and avoidance solutions for the systems and services that are critical to the operation of the business. These include, infrastructure security services, telecommunications, compute, storage, core infrastructure services, workstation, remote connectivity, internet access, multi-site connectivity, monitoring and alerting, secondary data center(s), and business defined applications and services.

• Takes a lead role in complex plans to research, evaluate and design highly available, public/private cloud infrastructure by applying engineering, hardware, and software design theories, in line with organizational strategies & governance. 25%

• Takes a lead role in the integration and deployment of modern, secure, and highly available private/public cloud platforms to support complex business applications and services. Implemented using Dev Ops principles and methodologies with a focus on data analytics and infrastructure as code. 25%

• Takes a lead role in system management activities including tuning, capacity planning, patching, monitoring, event & lifecycle management. Partner with security teams to identify vulnerabilities and remediation plans and/or mitigating controls. 20%
• Takes a lead role in developing, applying, and testing IT disaster recovery and avoidance plans for systems identified by the business to be critical to the operation of the company within the defined RPO and RTO. This includes failover testing of critical systems designed to be highly available. 15%

• Takes a lead role in ensuring public/private cloud infrastructure and infrastructure services meet technology governance requirements. Including but not limited to published IT standards and policies and procedures. 10%

• Works with architecture teams to conduct research and discovery of modern public/private cloud infrastructure and how it aligns with business strategy. Mentors staff and conducts formal training/awareness sessions and recommends training, vendors, and methods to consistently stay in front of new technology needs. 5%
