Human Resources (HR) Assistant primarily provides administrative and clerical support to ensure the smooth operation of the HR department. This entry-level role is central to managing the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to payroll and benefits administration.

Core Responsibilities.
  • Recruitment Support: Drafting and posting job advertisements, screening resumes, performing background and reference checks, and coordinating interview schedules between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Onboarding & Training: Facilitating new hire orientation, preparing employment packets, coordinating equipment provisioning (e.g., computers, logins), and tracking completion of mandatory training sessions.
  • Record Maintenance: Updating and auditing employee records in Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), such as personal details, employment status, tax forms (I-9, W-4), and performance evaluations.
  • Compliance: Ensuring all documentation aligns with local, state, and federal labor laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA) and maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive data.
