Overview

OU Health, Oklahoma’s flagship academic health system, is seeking a high-impact Director, HR Business Partner (HRBP) to lead strategic people initiatives for our Ambulatory, Cancer, and Provider Services divisions. In 2026, as we continue to expand our reach in specialized oncology and outpatient care, this leader will serve as the cultural anchor for our teams, ensuring we have the top talent and engagement levels necessary to deliver excellence to our patients.

As a strategic partner to executive leadership, you will guide the development of strategies and organizational change efforts that align human resources with the unique business needs of our clinical providers and ambulatory sites. You will lead a dedicated team of HRBPs, fostering a culture of high performance and the OU Health Way.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Advisory:
    Partner with senior leaders in Ambulatory and Cancer services to build organizational capability and deploy strategies that drive business success.
  • Team Leadership:
    Develop and implement a roadmap for the HRBP team, providing coaching, mentoring, and accountability to ensure project delivery with excellence.
  • Culture & Engagement:
    Champion a culture of excellence where providers and staff feel engaged, valued, and inspired to deliver top clinical results.
  • Data-Driven Insights:
    Use an analytical approach to collect and interpret human capital data, informing decisions through metrics and visualizations.
  • Risk & Compliance:
    Identify people-related risks and develop mitigation plans while ensuring clinical business units remain compliant with all policies and procedures.
  • Change Management:
    Serve as an expert in transformation, helping teams navigate the evolving landscape of academic healthcare and provider services.
General Description

The Director HR Business Partner (HRBP) will embrace the shared responsibility required for leading Strategic People and Culture initiatives, champion the OU Health Way to serve as a cultural anchor to consistency delivery high employee engagement, ensure there is requisite top talent to meet our organizational needs, and will be driven by relentless focus on excellence.

Primarily responsible for serving as a strategic partner with executive/senior leaders to build organizational capability through influencing and guiding the development and deployment of strategies, programs, policies, and procedures, ensuring human resources support activities are aligned with the overall business strategy, and overseeing the implementation of organizational change efforts. Viewed as a leader and expert in all functional areas of Human Resources with an emphasis on performance management, transformation and change management, talent management, employee relations, and organizational development.

Responsible for operational success, strategic alignment and integration of activities with other HR and organizational functions. Leads a team of HR Business Partners and is fully accountable for the success of the designated function or department.
