About the Role

The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining clean and attractive guestrooms while providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Thoroughly clean guestrooms according to standards, including bathrooms, furniture, fixtures, floors and all components of the guest room.
  • Change linens and re-stock supplies in each room.
  • Complete all pre and post cleaning duties including preparing guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for housekeeping cart set-up.
  • Restock housekeeping cleaning cart for next day's use.
  • Report all missing items from room (i.e., irons/boards, hair dryers, etc.) to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
  • Report any maintenance repairs immediately to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
  • Handle items for “Lost and Found” according to the standards.
  • Maintain work area neat and organized.
  • Clean all guestrooms in the prescribed manner while following safety and security procedures and regulations.
  • Report all unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.
What You Bring To

The Role
  • Previous experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physically able to move objects such as housekeeping carts & vacuum cleaners; capable of operating vacuum cleaners.
  • Ability to stand and be mobile for most of an 8 hour shift.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and written with employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
