We are dedicated to providing comprehensive Cardiac and Vascular care for our patients with a personal touch. To accomplish our goals, we are looking to hire a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team and assist our supervising physicians as Interventional Cardiology Extenders.
Essential Functions of the Role- Physician Assistant Certification (PA-C) issued by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required for hire and must be maintained throughout employment.
- Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is permitted to prescribe all medications commonly prescribed in the course of practice.
- Eligible to provide reimbursable services and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid.
- Eligible to provide services with no sanctions or exclusion from either the Health and Human Services/Office of Inspectors General (HHS/OIG) or the General Services Administration's (GSA) List of Parties Excluded from Federal Programs.
- Unrestricted medical staff membership, with appropriate practice privileges.
- Prescriptive authority as appropriate, per medical staff service privileging process.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies
- Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Cardiology field
- This is a clinical position. Work hours typically fall between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.; however, schedules are dependent upon provider clinical schedules and hospital coverage needs.
- Participation in a rotating weekend call schedule is required.
- Travel to rural clinic locations is required as part of this role.
This position requires full range of body motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds.
