Overview
Mercy Clinic Primary Care - Resource Pool – Part-Time; 24 hours/week. The position is part of Mercy’s Resource Pool and the hired individual will float to different Primary Care clinics across the OKC Metro. Accepting applications for MA, LPN, or EMT/Paramedic.
- Prepares patient for visit with provider by completing the Advanced Standard room process, including entering the chief complaint; taking patient vital signs; reviewing patient history and allergies; completing a thorough medication reconciliation; working the Encounter Guide, including helping to close open care gaps (such as fall risk, depression screening, breast cancer screening, colorectal cancer screening, and diabetic eye exams); rechecking elevated blood pressures;
and completing needed documentation in Epic for yearly preventative visits as needed. - Assists with in-office testing including, but not limited to, drawing blood, completing mental status exams, EKGs, walking oxygen studies, and point-of-care testing.
- Administers vaccines and other injections within scope of practice.
- Schedules follow-up appointments when needed per office policy.
- Collaborates with providers and the clinical care team to monitor and coordinate delivery of the care plan.

High School Diploma or GED. - Certification:
Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire. - Preferred Experience:
6 months of clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care office.

Must have active Medical Assistant certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA) or EMT/Paramedic is also accepted. Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program. - Licensure:
Active LPN license in the state of practice. - Experience:
6 months of clinical healthcare experience preferred, particularly in a primary care office.
