Location:
OK-SSM Health Shawnee OK Acute Care Center. Regular, full-time position (40 hours/week).

Location:
Shawnee, OK
- Performs diagnostic procedures on patients using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structures, providing quality images for interpretation.
- Sets up and adjusts all equipment and manually maneuvers transducers to perform exams.
- Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures.
- Performs routine and complex studies and assists in a variety of imaging procedures.
- Recognizes significant structures, artifacts, pathology and equipment limitations.
- Ensures equipment is properly functioning; reports potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel; lock/tag out equipment if appropriate.
- Ensures prompt submission of all high-quality images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, labeling, patient data/history).
- Maintains a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms and storage areas.
- Maintains compliance with regulatory agencies and works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Education:
Completion of a Sonography program. - Experience:
No experience required. - Licenses/Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider;
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with Abdomen (AB) or Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) specialty;
Or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) as appropriate. - Required Professional License and/or
Certifications:
State(s) of practice include Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin.
- Completion of a Sonography program
- RDMS/OB-GYN or RDMS/Abdomen or ARDMS certifications; or CCI equivalent
- CPR/BLS required
- Paid Parental Leave: one week for newborns or adopted children (pro-rated based on FTE)
