Overview
Find your calling at Mercy! Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral and standards of treatment, the therapist performs objective assessments and develops comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians, and general supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.

- Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive individualized treatment plans for adult and geriatric patients under supervision.
- Provide direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians; supervise PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.
- Carry out duties consistent with Mercy mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
- Education:
Current State license of Physical Therapy. Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy. - Licensure:
Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
- Certifications:
BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently. - Experience:
Six months to one year in rehabilitation physical therapy is preferred; experience caring for adult and geriatric patients is preferred.
- Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
- Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
