Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO)
Location:
Oklahoma City, OK
Hours:
Night Shift (4-10 hour shifts) rotating weekends and holidays
- Report to work on time and prepared for each scheduled shift
- Perform all assigned duties and processes, including tasks for which you are fully qualified and those within your demonstrated capabilities
- Maintain a positive, professional, and supportive attitude throughout the workday
- Work collaboratively as a team member and contribute to a respectful, productive work environment
- Perform tests in microbiology and assist with specimen processing as needed.
- Follow employer policies, work with fellow employees in a professional, productive manner, and perform instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
- General laboratory knowledge, including the ability to use computers.
- Must have knowledge of QA and QC.
- Previous experience in Microbiology or Molecular Biology preferred.
- AS degree in Medical Lab Technology or BS in Medical Technology.
- ASCP MT/MLT certification or equivalent or be eligible for national MT/MLT certification.
- Ability to maintain a professional courteous and pleasant attitude in times of heavy workload and stress.
- Teamwork with fellow employees is a must.
- Keyboard skills are important.
- Good customer service skills, professional appearance and attitude.
- Must work overtime or other shifts if required.
- Able to work 10 hour shifts, rotating weekends and holidays.
- Normal performance may require lifting and carrying objects: 1 to 10 pounds frequently; 11‑25 occasionally; 36‑50 seldom; over 50 without assistance.
- Ability to stand and work at the bench for long periods of time.
- Frequent walking and/or standing.
- May be required to use a wide variety of manual and automated pipettes and laboratory instruments and apparatuses all of which demand significant manual dexterity.
