Position: Travel Cardiovascular Technologist II - $3,267 per week

    Certification Details

  • AHA BLS
  • ARRT Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV) at time of hire
  • Completion of Paramedic training program at time of hire

    Job Details

  • Intermediate-level position delivering specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patients.
  • Provides safe, high quality, efficient, and cost-effective patient-centric care under routine or emergent conditions in various care settings including acute inpatient facilities, outpatient physician practices, diagnostic/urgent care centers, and remote statewide outreach clinics.
  • Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with ordered procedures.
  • Communicates and collaborates with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care team to achieve clinical outcomes and operational goals.
  • Utilizes specialized imaging equipment and techniques for diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures.
  • Conducts post-procedure reviews to ensure completion and quality according to protocols and accreditation standards.
  • Transfers images and data to archival systems and prepares studies for physician reporting.
  • Performs operator-level quality control, cleaning, and high-level disinfecting per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participates in continuing education, professional development, and research activities.
  • Provides instruction and mentorship to less experienced team members.
  • Prepares and presents in-service training relevant to assigned service area.
  • Performs quality assurance and performance improvement tasks as assigned.

    Job Requirements

  • Skill in cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology, medical imaging, medical terminology, patient positioning, and medical ethics.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Sensitivity to patients' physical and psychological needs.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and work accurately with names, numbers, and codes.
  • Ability to draw conclusions and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Discretion in handling confidential information and sound judgment.
  • Ability to multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Understanding of operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Professional, polite, courteous, compassionate, and cooperative communication with staff, patients, and families.
  • High level of initiative, effort, and commitment to completing assignments efficiently.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and attention to detail.
  • Core to intermediate knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology; cardiovascular and/or radiologic technologies and terminology.
  • Ability to apply theory, practices, and techniques to perform, post-process, analyze, and annotate study data or procedure documentation with limited direction.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete clinical or non-clinical work assignments independently.
  • Preferred:
    One (1) year full-time experience as a certified or registered cardiovascular or radiologic technology professional in the specialty required by the hiring department.
  • Required

    Education:

    Associate’s degree or higher.
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited program with emphasis in primary cardiovascular specialty or JRCERT accredited program with emphasis in radiologic technology or completion of Paramedic training program.
