Job Details

Intermediate-level position delivering specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patients.
Provides safe, high quality, efficient, and cost-effective patient-centric care under routine or emergent conditions in various care settings including acute inpatient facilities, outpatient physician practices, diagnostic/urgent care centers, and remote statewide outreach clinics.
Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with ordered procedures.
Communicates and collaborates with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care team to achieve clinical outcomes and operational goals.
Utilizes specialized imaging equipment and techniques for diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures.
Conducts post-procedure reviews to ensure completion and quality according to protocols and accreditation standards.
Transfers images and data to archival systems and prepares studies for physician reporting.
Performs operator-level quality control, cleaning, and high-level disinfecting per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
Participates in continuing education, professional development, and research activities.
Provides instruction and mentorship to less experienced team members.
Prepares and presents in-service training relevant to assigned service area.
Performs quality assurance and performance improvement tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements

Skill in cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology, medical imaging, medical terminology, patient positioning, and medical ethics.
Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.

Ability to prioritize and complete clinical or non-clinical work assignments independently.
Preferred:
One (1) year full-time experience as a certified or registered cardiovascular or radiologic technology professional in the specialty required by the hiring department.
Required

Education:

Associate’s degree or higher.
Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited program with emphasis in primary cardiovascular specialty or JRCERT accredited program with emphasis in radiologic technology or completion of Paramedic training program.
