- The Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) team is deeply committed to the safety and well-being of all personnel. WHS sets the strategic direction to provide resources, best practices, and safe environments to proactively manage workforce health.
- To support these goals, the team is seeking an experienced and dynamic Onsite Medical Representative (OMR). This role will work closely with the WHS site manager, WHS specialist, and occasionally the Injury Prevention Specialist (IPS). Responsibilities include attending weekly safety committee meetings, engaging with new hires, and participating in case management reviews.
- As an OMR, you will independently assess and administer first aid, and provide guidance on both occupational and non-occupational injuries or illnesses. This role requires passion for health advocacy, OSHA regulation awareness, and the ability to refer to outside care as needed.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Provide first aid support and refer to external medical providers when necessary.
- Educate and engage workers to minimize injury risk.
- Maintain accurate records of care.
- Coordinate workers’ compensation and return-to-work programs.
- Document daily activities and end-of-shift reports.
- Provide coaching on workplace safety practices.
- Maintain medical supply inventory and a clean work environment.
- Deliver first aid/CPR/AED training as needed.
- Maintain credentials in first aid, CPR, AED.
- Work flexible shifts including days, nights, holidays, weekends.
- Assist with random saliva drug testing.
- Support emergency response operations.
- Note:
Those without a valid adult First Aid, CPR, AED certification (American Heart Association or client) must obtain it within 3 weeks of start date.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved ECC provider
- One of the following:
- Valid EMT or Paramedic Certification (Dept. of Health or NREMT)
- 6+ months of military experience in a relevant medical role
- Current active Athletic Trainer Certification (BOC or State certified)
- Certified to teach First Aid, CPR, AED
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience with industrial wellness programs
- Knowledge of ergonomics and musculoskeletal disorders
- Familiarity with OSHA and Workers' Compensation
- Experience in digital medical recordkeeping
